Workshop Description
This two-day professional learning workshop is designed to build elementary level classroom teachers and special educators’ understanding of Read-Aloud with Accountable Talk as one of the four components of a core English Language Arts program. Read-Aloud with Accountable Talk is an instructional delivery framework for teaching/modeling the work readers do to comprehend books and to nurture ideas and theories about stories, characters, and text.
Participants will learn:
- Essential components of Read-Aloud with Accountable Talk
- How to create their own lessons for Read-Aloud with Accountable Talk
- How to use formative assessment to guide instruction
- How to differentiate instruction within Read-Aloud with Accountable Talk
