What is mi PLACE?
mi PLACE (Michigan Professional Learning and Collaboration Environment) is a virtual learning community being developed and sponsored by Oakland Schools. It functions on a Moodle-based platform integrated with Google apps for education to allow inter and cross district and school collaboration. All users must sign on with a Google account and create a profile to join the community.
To join mi PLACE:
- Be sure you’re logged into the Google account you want to use for your mi PLACE profile.
- Visit www.miplacek12.org/
- Click on the “sign in with Google”
- Fill out your profile.
- Click on “The Hub” to search for learning.
- Click on “The Collaboratorium” to search for groups or to create a collaboration group.
