This series will support teachers on how to organize a writing workshop, the  development of effective mini lessons based on students’ needs, the essential components of an effective conference and the critical role of immersion. Teachers will build yearlong plans based on the Common Core State Standards, qualities of good writing, and students’ needs.  Additionally teachers will build shared language and knowledge of writing terms, goals and processes.  They will establish routines and rituals to encourage independence and stamina and study various forms of assessment.
